Inwood Senior Center

GOALS & OBJECTIVES

seniorlunchThe Inwood Senior Center serves as a source of social enrichment, information and referrals, and consistent contact with peers. For seniors, it is their home away from home. Additionally, the Senior Center Program provides support and referrals in the areas of social services, housing, health, legal, SSI, food stamps and social security.

The Senior Center has responds to the need for cultural diversity by offering translation services for those newcomers who would like to communicate and learn English.

Direct Services

  • Daily lunch program 

  • Workshops 

  • Weekly activities: day trips, shopping, knitting, needlepoint, woodworking, arts and crafts. 

  • Music appreciation, dance, exercise and yoga classes.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Individuals 60 years and older and must be a resident of Nassau County Hours: Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
